Summary

The Shop Mechanic will work under the direction of the Shop Manager. The Shop Mechanic is responsible for executing chassis/ tank repair, 90-day inspections, tank trailer maintenance, brakes, HM183 inspections, all other duties as assigned. This role is accountable for proper completion of all work as assigned and completion of all documentation of work on a computer based work planner system.

Compliance with all company policies is a strict requirement. Shift work may be required and can be discussed.

• Chassis/ Tank repairs
• 90 Day Inspections
• Tank Trailer Maintenance
• Brakes
• HM183 Inspections
• Coordinate repairs with other departments
• Monitor and adhere to inventory management system
• Respond to customer concerns, complaints, etc.
• Process orders and determine customer needs
• Communicate inventory to customers/ in and out shipments/ etc.
• Adhere to current programs and policies to ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance

• Must have Chassis repair experienced
• Must have basic welding knowledge (MIG) on carbon steel
• Able to use gas cutting torch
• Must have experience with ABS Systems
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs
• Must be able to work in an open air workshop
• Trailer cladding repair Experience Desired
• Possess required tools of the trade
• High School Diploma/GED
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered

Sign-On Bonus Program is in effect for successful applications through 2024. Bonus payments will be made in 25% increments after completing 90 days, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months. This program is subject to renewal or change at the discretion of management with proper posted notification.
