In the industrial electrician role, you will ensure the continued functioning of electrical equipment by its proper installation, maintenance, and repair. You must be able to understand technical documents, such as schematics, that detail job instructions. You must also adhere to the statutory codes that apply to your work.
Essential Job Functions:- Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions and apply knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems
- Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation
- Install electrical components, equipment or systems in various settings
- Repairing and Maintaining Equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
- Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications
- Consult with vendors, supervisors, or engineers to plan layout of equipment or to resolve a problem in system operation or maintenance
- Maintain inventory of spare parts
- Study blueprints, schematics, manuals or other specifications to determine installation procedures
- At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial environment
- Must have PLC Experience
- Knowledge of 120/240/480 Volt
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time on concrete
- Ability to tolerate excess heat and humidity
- Ability to work as a team as well as being self-directed
- Safe operation of all tools
- Ability to work with heights
- Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks
- Understanding of 3 phase electrical, single-phase electrical, and wiring and schematics
Must be able to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequent and repetitive bending, twisting kneeling, stooping, crouching, or crawling. standing for long periods of time, walk or run for long periods of time, climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles. Keep or regain their balance.
