Kates Detective Agency, a licensed and highly respected security firm operating in Chicago, is currently seeking professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our growing team. This position involves patrolling client properties, ensuring safety, and maintaining a strong presence throughout the shift.

• Walk‑in with credentials on Tuesday or Thursday from 10:00am until 2:00pm at 7815 S. Western Chicago, IL
• Credentials must be original documents only; no emails will be accepted
• Required Credentials must be presented at the time of Interview

• Valid PERC Card (expires 5/31/2027) (Must be printed out from the IDFPR website)
• 20‑Hour Unarmed Training Certificate (original) (No screenshots, only full‑page color copy)
• Photo  (Physical card, no digital copies)
• Social Security Card or Birth Certificate (Physical card, no digital copies)
• High School Diploma/Transcripts or GED Certificate (must include graduation date) (physical document)

• 21+ years of age
• High School Diploma, GED/Transcripts required
• Unarmed credentials (20‑Hour Unarmed Training Certificate & Current PERC required)
• Previous experience as a Security officer is desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on the organization's needs.
• Be able to Patrol if needed, hit check points

• Ensure the security, safety and well‑being of all personnel, visitors and the premises
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly, and professionally always
• Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
• Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
• Follow all client site specific duties, as required and outlined in post-orders
• Utilizing verbal de‑escalation techniques to manage potentially volatile situations and prevent the need for force.

Available shifts include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Must be flexible and dependable.
