* ** Allied Universal is hosting walk-in open interviews for security officer positions for Northwestern Memorial Hospital Downtown Chicago*
* ** Pay Range: $19.80 / hour - $23.30 / hour*
* ** PSO - Start at $19.80 / hour and receive increase to $21.80 / hour upon completion of weapons detection training certification.*
* ** ED - Pay Rate: $21.30 / hour and increases to $23.30 / hour after receiving a certification in weapons detection training.*
* ** Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance.*

** Must be atleast 21 years of age or older*

** No visible tattoos or facial piercings*

** Must be ok with a yearly flu shot and have certain vaccines up to date like TB, Meassels, chickenpox etc*

** Must have hair color one color natually grown (no red, pink, purple etc)*

** Men, no beards or facial hair. Must be ok with being clean shaven.*

** Must be ok working in a union site*

** Must be in physical capacity to pass a physical fitness test*

** Must be in physical capacity to pass a Defenssive Tactics Class*
* ** Physical Fitness test:*
* + You must continuously walk for 5 minutes at a pace of 4 miles per hour.

+ You must march in place for 60 seconds while holding  
** 40% of your body weight.*
* + You must sprint from one side of a room to another 6 times in  
** less than 18 seconds.*
* + You must climb five full flights/floors of stairs in  
** less than 37 seconds.*
* ** Difensive Tactics:*
* 8-hour Intensive physical training, involving coordinating footwork. Strikes, kicks, jabs, take downs. Lots of high intensity maneuvering. Left/ Right foot pivots. Proper stance, movement, and balance.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

* + 21+ years of age Or older

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
