Job Summary

As a Trainer, you will be involved in curriculum development and training delivery of a variety of security topics in support of Inter‑Con operations/contracts. You will present instructional content for the topic area(s) as assigned by the Director or Vice President of Operations, conduct practical exercises in addition to classroom lectures/presentations, and may be required to conduct research and provide recommendations regarding the integration and application of security program policies.

Additional duties include providing analysis and recommendations on new or existing security requirements, maintaining compliance with internal and external mandates, developing training manuals and multimedia visual aids, and supporting record‑keeping requirements.

Qualifications
  • Training program experience that includes use of a standard classroom instruction format supported by an academic Instructional System (IS) approach.
  • Experience in developing learning programs and support materials through a systemic approach to training, continually reviewing, evaluating, and improving them to meet changing needs.
  • Developing training programs, PowerPoint presentations, syllabi, testing material, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with different training delivery methods (OJT, web‑based, etc.) and types (technical, professional, team, safety).
  • Certified instructor for CPR, AED, and Adult First Aid (certifications accepted include Red Cross, ASHA, etc.).
  • High‑school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Public Safety and/or related field is preferred;
    Instructional Design or Learning Development certification a plus.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a training, education, instruction, professional development, military or police training administration environment or equivalent.
  • Professional image, outstanding customer service, effective presentation skills for large and small groups, excellent listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act quickly, decisively, and tactfully to establish and meet deadlines with quality results while managing multiple tasks in a changing environment.
  • Team player ability to cooperate and collaborate.
  • Physically able to perform activities including running, jumping, defensive tactics, firearms instruction.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Excellent attention to detail, record‑keeping, and administrative support for company and state requirements.
  • Fluent in read, speak, comprehend, and compose coherent written material in English.
  • General computer proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Duty hours may vary and may require work outside normal duty schedule to support training needs.
  • Travel to conduct training on a rotational basis may be required.
  • Willing to work in various environments including indoor/outdoor shooting ranges and outdoor training facilities.
  • Physically fit and able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Must meet requirements set forth by the Lautenberg Amendment.
