Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead and scale our sales organization in Chicago, IL. This executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and strengthening relationships within the insurance market. The ideal candidate combines deep sales leadership experience with a strong understanding of insurance products, distribution channels, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand the company’s presence within the insurance sector.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, brokers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and executive leadership to align go-to-market strategies and sales initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, forecast revenue, and provide regular reporting to executive leadership.
  • Implement best practices for sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM utilization.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership, including managing and developing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance industry, including products, regulations, and distribution channels.
  • Experience building and executing sales strategies in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting abilities with experience using CRM and sales analytics tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Established network within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Background in scaling sales operations for a growing organization.
