At More Than Grapes, we’re passionate about bringing the finest Italian wines and spirits to the U.S. market. Based in Northbrook, Illinois, we specialize in importing and distributing premium Italian beverages—and we love sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm with our customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is knowledgeable in wine to join our team as a Sales Representative of Italian Wines for the West Suburbs of Chicago.

We provide an active customer portfolio in West Suburbs to help the Sales Representative to thrive in the position.

Position Profile
  • Provide outstanding customer service and informative wine presentations to customers through regular visits, phone calls, emails and other means of communication
  • Management of a sales territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and increase distribution of products
  • Ability to select and lead Corporate Key Accounts throughout the whole sales process
  • Execute and achieve specific focus goals within the territory on a monthly and annual basis
  • Target appropriate accounts for maintaining and expanding key distribution
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars, webinars, tastings and events
  • Other reasonable requests by management
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, of which 2 years in the wine industry required
  • Good knowledge of Italian wines required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Certification as WSET preferred
  • Knowledge of Italian language is a plus
  • Must have a positive attitude, provide excellent customer service and follow-up
  • Ability to communicate in English: speak, read and write
  • Reliable, responsible, respectful, timely, flexible and able to take direction from the Sales Director
  • Availability to attend, individual and team meetings and other sales related event at Northbrook, IL our warehouse and headquarter
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, insurance, a reliable vehicle and a good record
  • Please note a Background check and driving record shall be requested
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills
  • Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds
