Job Description
- Partner with the VP, peers, brokers, and distributor network to develop, execute, and drive our sales strategy targeting the U.S. grocery store channel - National and Regional Retail Accounts.
- Manage and motivate the broker network by working with all levels of the broker personnel.
- Achieve budgeted revenues and team sales goals, maximizing profitability. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, marketing plan, and business plan.
- Manage day‑to‑day sales activities, developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and implementing sales strategies outlined by the VP of Sales and Marketing.
- Develop and execute distribution targets and promotion plans that follow company guidelines, managing customer sales forecasts, distribution targets, profitability, and trade spend targets.
- Build strong and credible relationships with existing customers and channels through customer meetings, site visits, etc., to meet sales projections set by the Company.
- Assist the VP of Sales and Marketing in producing monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current and potential market and sales trends. Coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share, monitoring performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plans.
- Facilitate cross‑department collaborations with R&D, Production, Quality, and other relevant departments to drive product development and enhance product quality based on customer and consumer feedback.
- Update the R&D team on a variety of food trends to create new SKUs and improve existing recipes.
- Be a key member of weekly/monthly sensory tasting to provide instant feedback on product quality.
- Participate in nation‑wide food shows to approach business opportunities with prospects.
- Work alongside the CEO to implement new sales initiatives.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience with a proven track record of leadership in a sales organization/business unit in the food industry.
- Experience managing food brokers.
- Working knowledge of sales cycles according to customer types, i.e., retailers, wholesalers, food services, etc. Prior experience with mainstream market preferred.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned sales territory domestically and/or internationally as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Proficient in Google Apps, MS Office Suite, etc.
