Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities across multiple channels, with a focus on acquiring new business and consistently exceeding established sales targets. The role entails maintaining key account relationships to implement a productive sales strategy aimed at both long‑term and leisure business growth.

- Perform engaged tours with prospective clients with the goal of converting prospects into guests, contributing to meeting or exceeding budgeted goals.
- Target and develop new business opportunities through various channels such as prospecting, solicitation, social media outlets, networking events, conducting site inspections and outbound sales calls (traveling required), etc.
- Collaborate with the revenue management team analyzing market demand to set optimal pricing.
- Conduct research, surveys, personal investigation, and study marketplace and territory to effectively capitalize on booking opportunities.
- Adhere to established goals and objectives, reporting guidelines consistently, completing all projects assigned in an accurate and thorough manner.
- Organize and track sales activities to maximize results.
- Perform daily telephone solicitations to new and existing accounts.
- Respond to all leads in a timely manner (same day/within 24 hours).
- Prepare sales proposals to clients incorporating clearly defined terms and conditions.
- Strengthen and build relationships with assigned accounts through sales visits, client entertainment, site inspections, and repeated follow‑up.
- Develop and promote product image and awareness by direct mail campaigns, social media presence, and attendance of key travel and tourism trade shows.
- Conduct outside sales calls, while targeting results‑oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure success.
- Keep up to date on competitors’ top accounts, decision‑makers, rates, and what it will take to move the business from within the competitive set.
- Network with prospects to uncover other decision‑makers for direct referrals.
- Create sales proposals and negotiate the close of the sale.
- Plan and organize market reviews, conduct sales blitzes, and organize open houses for new properties.
- Assist the Director of Sales and Revenue Manager with providing thoughtful marketing and pricing recommendations on a recurring basis to promote sales growth.
- Fully support the entire portfolio including referrals to our sister properties and entities including The Emily Hotel, Dialtone, Solette, and The Bell.
- Manage guest concerns and resolve as appropriate consulting with appropriate departments.
- Assist with mentoring and supervision of the sales coordinator.
- Closely work with communicating to all departments, operations, housekeeping, engineering, and residential teams.
- Successfully complete all training provided by the company with regards to accounting, fair housing, marketing, leasing, customer service, etc.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel sales or residential leasing is required.
- Selling skills, knowledge and execution of high‑level prospecting, rate and contract negotiating, business planning and cold calls.
- Prior sales experience in the Corporate Housing Market and/or an excellent network of Corporate Business clients.
- Prior experience with HMS, ZOHO, or another equivalent property management system is strongly preferred.
- A diploma or degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
- Commitment to exceeding guest/client expectations.
- Computer literate with knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including a Hotel PMS and Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sales Force.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
