Outside Sales Representative – Plumbing, Mechanical, and HVAC Products

Position Overview:

We are seeking an entry-level Outside Sales Representative to manage accounts, provide excellent face-to-face customer service, and support sales operations. This role combines in-person sales with account management, requiring travel within Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana. Occasional travel for industry events or conferences (1–3 times per year) is also expected.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through in-person visits.
  • Manage accounts and provide sales support to meet customer needs.
  • Conduct sales reporting and assist with sales service tasks.
  • Provide product expertise and problem-solving solutions to customers.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and job site visits as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to drive long distances within the territory.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent social and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous face-to-face customer service experience.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • $60,000 base salary plus commission program.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with 1-hour lunch.

  • Walking job sites.
  • Extended periods of computer use.
