The Sales Associate will play a key role in supporting the sales process to generate qualified opportunities, nurture prospects, and assist in closing deals for Digital Mint’s ransomware incident response, secure cryptocurrency settlements, crypto crime investigations and related cybersecurity services. This role provides direct exposure to high-value B2B sales in a niche, high-demand industry, with opportunities to collaborate closely with marketing and management.

Core

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prospect and identify potential clients through outbound efforts (cold calling, Linked In outreach, email campaigns) and inbound lead qualification from marketing sources.
  • Qualify leads by understanding client needs, pain points related to cyber threats/ransomware, and fit for Digital Mint’s solutions; conduct initial discovery calls and needs assessments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospects and existing contacts via phone, email, video meetings, and Linked In to move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Schedule and support product demonstrations, webinars, or technical consultations with subject matter experts (e.g., incident response or forensics teams).
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, opportunities, and pipeline status in CRM tools (e.g., Hub Spot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotes, and sales materials tailored to enterprise clients, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign effectiveness, and market insights from client conversations.
  • Conduct basic market research on cybersecurity trends, ransomware incidents, target industries, and competitor activities to inform outreach strategies.
  • Track sales metrics, prepare weekly activity reports, and contribute to team goals for lead generation and pipeline development.
  • Participate in industry events, virtual conferences, or networking opportunities to expand reach and generate new leads.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts (cybersecurity, ransomware, cryptocurrency) in clear, executive-friendly language. Proficiency with sales tools: CRM software (e.g., Hub Spot, Salesforce), Linked In Sales Navigator (or similar), email outreach platforms, and basic productivity tools (Google Workspace/Microsoft 365).
  • Familiarity with B2B sales concepts, lead qualification, and pipeline management is highly desirable.
  • Genuine interest in fintech, cybersecurity, cryptocurrency, or incident response (prior knowledge not required, but enthusiasm for the space and willingness to learn quickly is essential).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple prospects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset, resilience in handling rejection, and a drive to meet targets.
  • Must reside in the Chicagoland area (Chicago metro region) for regular workdays and in-office meetings.
Experience:
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in sales, business development, inside sales, or a related field (internships or entry-level roles count toward experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with sales enablement or automation tools.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, ransomware threats, or compliance-heavy industries (e.g., cryptocurrency, financial services, regulated fintech).
  • Prior exposure to cold calling, email prospecting, or virtual selling in a tech/B2B context.
  • Comfort with data-driven sales approaches and analyzing basic metrics.
Employee Benefits Package
  • Competitive salary and bonus eligibility.
  • Premium Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance offerings.
  • Flexible, unlimited, PTO eligibility immediately upon hire.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution.
  • Monthly pre-tax transit benefit.
  • Daily $12 lunch subsidy.
