About

the Role

Our company is rapidly expanding and we are seeking Bilingual Business Development Associates to join our team of world class sales professionals and engineers to support our international growth. Ideal candidates will be based in Chicago and speak Spanish, French, Italian, German, or Portuguese along with English to facilitate prospecting and engagement with higher education institutions across Europe and Latin America.

This position will be based in-person in our Chicago, IL office to support close collaboration, training, and team learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound sales prospecting and scheduling qualified meetings with colleges and universities in international markets where French, Portuguese, Spanish, German or Italian are spoken
  • Communicate product value clearly and professionally in English and at least one of the following languages:
    French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German
  • Identify and qualify prospective institutional customers through email, phone, Linked In, and other outreach channels
  • Research regional higher education systems, decision‑makers, and buying cycles
  • Carry out full‑cycle sales activities including conducting product demonstrations, lead follow‑up communication, and closing deals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in the CRM
  • Travel to conferences and events to represent the brand and engage with prospects
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine messaging for international audiences
  • Stay informed on trends in higher education and AI adoption globally
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, customer success, or a related role.
  • Native‑level fluency and strong written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one of the following languages:
    French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian.
  • Superior relationship and time management skills.
  • Confidence with outbound prospecting and relationship‑building.
  • Interest in AI, technology, and higher education.
  • Ability to work independently and support outreach across multiple international markets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in or with colleges and universities.
  • Exposure to international or multicultural sales environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive, Hub Spot, Salesforce).
