Overview

We’re looking for a motivated, customer‑focused individual to grow wallet share and drive demand generation with key strategic accounts across southern Wisconsin, the Chicagoland area, and central Illinois.

Location

This role is remote but supports customers in southern Wisconsin, the Chicagoland area, and central Illinois. Candidates should reside in Wisconsin or the Chicagoland area with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Key Relationships

The Key Account Manager reports to the Sales Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve financial and customer targets by driving sales and margin growth and improving overall relationships with customer accounts.
  • Actively engage relevant stakeholders to generate interest in Metrie products and services, create demand, and help Channel Partners convert and service demand.
  • Create and execute strategies to increase sustainable profitability and drive top and bottom‑line growth of accounts.
  • Act as a brand advocate by managing the Metrie brand touchpoints to drive brand value and awareness; leveraging an insight‑driven, customer‑centric approach (e.g., Challenger Selling) to generate awareness and interest for Metrie products and services among targeted Channel Partners.
  • Contribute to the delivery of quarterly and annual sales results that meet or exceed the region targets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience within building products, interior finishing, construction, architecture, interior design, or related fields preferred.
  • Love to work in an outside sales environment.
  • Experience dealing with purchasing agents, senior buyers, and small business owners.
  • Passion for customer service and enjoys building rapport with prospective and existing customers.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for learning, growing knowledge, and skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in web‑based computer systems (SAP, Hub Spot, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Valid driver’s license for business travel purposes.
