DH Pace Company, Inc. in Glendale Heights, IL has a very good Territory Based Outside Sales Representative position available! If you are mechanically inclined and enjoy working with your hands and using your mind to solve problems, this Outside Sales position may interest you.
We are open to considering applicants newer to sales who have an affinity for working in construction or the building products industry, as well as experienced sales representatives who manage a territory of customers buying commercial and industrial products for their facilities.
Position Overview- Meet with decision makers to influence the purchase of a comprehensive line of commercial doors and related products.
- Develop sales within commercial and industrial sectors, calling on building owners/managers, educational institutions, K‑12, municipalities, retail, and hospitals in the Chicago metro area.
- Meet or exceed sales and gross profit performance standards.
- Provide timely, accurate estimates and proposals.
- Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) daily.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant outside‑sales experience in the service‑provider industry, successfully calling on hospitals, educational institutions, retail, building owners, property managers, purchasing or procurement managers at industrial/commercial facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Enjoy generating sales through prospecting new business and cultivating existing customers.
- Work hours 7 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday.
- Initial training daily at the office and in the field; may include training at nearby locations.
- Daily visits or calls to local customers and technical sales work‑order support from the office.
- Proficiency with Windows‑based programs and ERP/CRM systems; maintain the CRM daily.
- Technical application and mechanical systems knowledge.
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license required.
- Successful completion of references, employment verifications, background check, and drug screen required before hire.
