Whatever path you took, affiliate publishers likely played a role by influencing, informing, or helping you find the best deal. CJ connects brands with these publishers, creating valuable resources for shoppers like you.
As a Market Development Manager you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by generating qualified leads for our sales team. This role focuses on proactively identifying and engaging with mid‑market and small businesses through a high‑volume, outbound approach. You will be responsible for executing effective cold calling campaigns, conducting targeted outreach, and qualifying leads to drive sales pipeline.

- Develop and execute effective outreach strategies:
Develop and implement multi‑channel outreach strategies, including email, phone, and Linked In, to engage with prospects and build interest. - Identify and qualify leads:
Qualify leads based on predefined criteria, gather key information about prospects, and accurately document all interactions in Salesforce CRM. - Present value propositions:
Clearly and concisely articulate the value proposition of our products/services to prospective customers. - Conduct high‑volume outbound calls:
Execute targeted cold calling campaigns to identify and qualify potential customers within the mid‑market and SMB segments. - Schedule and qualify meetings:
Schedule and qualify meetings between prospective customers and the sales team. - Track and report on performance:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call volume, connect rates, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution. - Continuously improve:
Analyze call recordings and performance data to identify areas for improvement and refine outreach strategies.
What we look for:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related work experience.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in a fast‑paced sales development role.
- Proven ability to effectively cold call and build rapport with potential customers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to handle objections effectively.
- Highly motivated and results‑oriented with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed targets.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or other sales enablement tools.
- Excellent, active listening skills.
