As a Representative Executive Sales Account, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. At 3M, you will make an impact by

  • Growing the relationship with one of the most innovative OEMs in Northern California supporting the acceleration of the world’s transition into sustainable transportation
  • Playing an active role in securing profitable growth by introducing new innovations لارې, materials, technologies and new business models to your customer
  • Driving adoption of tools and initiatives to replicate applications to your customer, support new product launches, gain competitive conversions, and win launch fix opportunities with 3M solutions in close collaboration with our global team
  • Ensuring that opportunities are successfully translated from the design‑in decisions to sourcing decisions and product sales at all locations globally and throughout the supply ecosystem
  • Providing input to the strategic account manager to the future account strategy
Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre‑employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years or more of combined sales and/or automotive experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver’s License
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Master’s degree in engineering or manufacturing from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated significant achievements in sales using advanced selling skills to consistently produce positive sales results

  • Experience with platform planning and proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce/Power BI
  • Experience in fast‑paced environments, startup cultures and proven track record solving unprecedented challenges
  • Self‑motivated and very comfortable working in automotive environments
  • Ability to indirectly deliver sales results oriented to work within a highly matrixed internal and external organization
  • Experience in long‑term selling cycles to large, global, complex, multi‑disciplined key accounts
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively collaborate across cultures and geographies
  • Experienced in mining social selling tools to identify a broad‑based customer profile and industry trends. Understands and applies market trends in representing offerings to customers.
  • Strong communication, leadership and negotiation skills

  • Remote in Northern California
  • Travel:
    May include up to 25% domestic and international travel.
  • Relocation:
    May be authorized
