About The Job

In this role, you will hunt for new prospects and opportunities with new customers. Highly driven, you meet and exceed targets by leading with customer value, trust with your outstanding communication skills and have an in-depth proposition knowledge. You know how to structure deals and how to leverage market and business insight to outsell the competition. With a close eye on the sales pipeline, you will identify more opportunities daily, and you will encourage customers to renew their contracts with us.

Role Overview

The role of Data & Feeds Associate Sales Specialist, within the high performing Data & Feeds group, will focus on commercializing the next generation of software and data solutions for Hedge Funds, Asset Manager, Corporates, and other financial institutions for front, middle, and back‑office operations. You will be tasked with implementing our strategy for long term balanced growth of LSEG’s footprint in this area through an understanding of market and competitive dynamics and will detail and drive Sales execution.

The role will require the successful candidate to possess strong direction‑setting and influencing skills to work with the local Account Management teams to deliver results.

  • Quantitative Feeds solutions (cross asset)
  • Macro Economics Feeds
  • Historical Feeds
Responsibilities
  • Providing in‑depth customer and market insights, to identify new business opportunities and drive the sales process.
  • Partnering with technical sales engineering leads, implementing through strong collaborative relationships across matrixed functions, including Account Management, Product, Marketing, Sales Strategy, and external partners.
  • Supervising all aspects of key competitors, analysing their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and implementing strategies to achieve competitive advantage.
  • Driving our thought‑leadership agenda as the internal and external spokesperson for your proposition, supporting community building.
  • Having a strong eye for business and commercial strategy.
  • Being able to influence individuals as well as groups in meetings.
  • Able to work on tight deadlines in a high‑performance and inspiring environment.
  • Proactively identifying pipeline opportunities.
  • Delivering customer demonstrations on their specific propositions.
What Are We Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience working with data feeds for quantitative use cases and strategy development workflows.
  • Outstanding solutions selling skills with a consistent track record in a quota‑bearing environment.
  • Highly driven and self‑motivated with direct experience in selling solutions to the Financial Services community.
  • Creative problem solver with good sales conceptualisation skills.
  • Presentation skills (verbal & written).
  • Strong listening skills and interpersonal skill.
  • Expert understanding of quantitative and systematic workflow and competitor landscape.
  • Strong technical knowledge specifically within the financial markets trade and execution domain.

Compensation / Benefits Information

LSEG is committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $86,200 - $143,800. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage.

Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part‑time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of:
