We are seeking an Account Manager - Rail/Power/HVAC to represent and grow the CEMBRE product line. This role combines technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a strong understanding of customer needs to support existing clients, develop new business opportunities, and drive sales growth.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting hands‑on product demonstrations and working directly in the field. Sites visits can include, but are not limited to, facilities operated by Utilities, Transit Authorities, Class I Railroads, and Rolling Stock customers.
Responsibilities- Achieve or exceed assigned annual sales targets.
- Promote and sell the CEMBRE product line
, leveraging technical expertise, industry insight, and a deep understanding of customer needs. - Provide feedback to management on customer requirements, market trends, and product development opportunities.
- Prepare and manage customer quotes using the company CRM system.
- Collaborate with management and Back Office staff to develop quotes, RFP responses, and orders as required.
- Conduct sales demonstrations and offer technical support for products and applications.
- Identify and pursue new customers and business opportunities
. - Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and meetings as assigned.
- Maintain a robust CRM pipeline focused on key customers and target markets.
- Manage travel and entertainment activities in compliance with CEMBRE’s expense policy.
- Gather and communicate competitive intelligence and market research insights.
- Oversee demo and truck stock
, utilizing the Pro‑Forma process for customer trials. - Be available for extensive weekly travel
, including overnight stays, potentially up to 75%. - Maintain regular collaboration and communication with Manufacturer’s Representatives, including participation in joint customer meetings and visits.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four‑year college or university or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the Rail and Power Utility industries is preferred, but not necessary.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and self‑motivated.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- High degree of integrity and emotional self‑discipline.
- Knowledge of sales techniques, customers, customer relations, and team development.
- Ability to travel, including sitting and driving multi‑state distances.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
- Due to the nature of our product, employees will be required to lift, carry, and operate equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and kneel.
- Extensive periods of driving or sitting for travel.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be subject to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, loud noises, and fumes.
- Withstand outdoor weather conditions during summer and winter months.
This job operates almost solely outside of the office. Management will specify the territory for this position, which will require frequent travel. Travel is provided by means of a company vehicle. Due to the industry of our customer base and product, extended periods of time may be spent outdoors in various weather conditions.
