Secured Tech Sales Consultant - Illinois, Oklahoma, or North Carolina Remote

Secured Tech is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Consultant to initiate, build, and expand relationships with K-12 school districts. This role requires a consultative approach to helping district technology departments grow, sustain, and maximize the value of their 1:1 device initiatives. The Solutions Consultant will understand district needs, identify solutions, and support the evaluation of options, helping districts achieve their goals while contributing to Secured Tech’s revenue generation and success.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills as well as a passion for educational technology. With a focus on expanding existing accounts and initiating new relationships with potential customers, the Solutions Consultant will provide district partners with an outstanding customer experience.

Description

Location:

Remote-first role with occasional travel (up to 20%). Candidates should be based in or near one of our key customer regions of Illinois, Oklahoma, or North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities Customer Relationships & Engagement
  • Partner with K-12 district technology leaders on solutions that strengthen their 1:1 device initiatives and long-term tech goals
  • Take a consultative, relationship-first approach to uncover needs, recommend tailored solutions, and guide districts through evaluation and purchasing decisions.
  • Drive customer success and company growth by expanding existing accounts, building new partnerships, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Account Management & Growth
  • Manage a portfolio of district accounts, driving retention and expansion
  • Proactively plan regular check-ins and 1:1 device strategy consultations with assigned customers, maintaining detailed records.
  • Leverage referrals, events, networking, and other leads to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed outreach metrics and contribute to team and company goals.
Solutions & Industry Knowledge
  • Maintain deep expertise in Secured Tech’s full solutions portfolio and emerging K–12 technology trends to guide districts with informed, data-driven recommendations.
  • Partner across teams to align solutions, share insights, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Represent Secured Tech at industry events and conferences to strengthen brand awareness and generate qualified leads for future partnerships.
  • Demonstrate Secured Tech’s core values in all client and team interactions.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in K–12 district technology or K-12 sales/account management
  • Skilled communicator who thrives in consultative, relationship-driven environments
  • Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable with strong follow-through.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about educational technology and improving outcomes for K-12 1:1 device initiatives
  • Tech savvy with proficiency in Google Suite and CRM systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to schools if required
  • Enthusiastic alignment with Secured Tech’s core values
  • Must comply with E-Verify requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working at a K-12 focused reseller/vendor or in a leadership role in a district technology department
  • Background in navigating K-12 technology funding or purchasing processes
  • Track record of effectively leveraging Hub Spot’s CRM features
