Retail Manager

Nestled in the heart of Great Smoky Mountains National Park
, Cades Cove Trading is seeking a passionate and experienced Retail Manager to lead daily operations in one of the most visited and beloved national parks in the country. Responsible and accountable for the successful operation of the Retail Store at the Company ensuring sales goals are met, inventory levels are appropriate, receiving is handled in a timely and accurate manner and all customer service standards are met in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Provide leadership within the retail and receiving environment to maintain the consistent delivery of excellent products & services and uphold the highest level of guest and employee satisfaction
• Maximize financial performance and profit within the retail stores by supporting and executing the business plan with a focus on fiscal responsibility, effective employee recruitment, hiring and training and meeting the highest standards of quality
• Provide timely and accurate financial retail reports, on a weekly basis, for senior management that clearly explain the operational effectiveness, trends and forecasts
• Ensure all retail staff is trained, motivated and empowered to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Coaching and mentoring of employees should occur daily.
• Assist the Inventory Specialist to ensure 100% accurate and timely receiving of all merchandise for operation
• Maintain merchandise displays according to company standards, maximizing performance

• Must be self‑motivated with the ability to perform with the highest professional and ethical standards
• Must possess strong leadership and managerial skills that include the ability to coach, develop and clearly communicate expectations
• Must have excellent analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to proactively recommend solutions
• Must have financial background with the proven ability to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and fiscal management
• Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills and Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS system functionality
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Majority of time will be spent on feet in a fast‑paced environment, in close proximity to other ties
• Position involves frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Hospitality, Business or related field preferred
• Experience:
