Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
  • Manage opening of the back door for deliveries and deliveries of store key.
  • Process product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Share customer service best practices with all team members, including greetings, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits such as proactive help and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with and coach other team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening backdoor for vendor deliveries.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
  • Assist management in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and in reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty packages).
  • Assist in evaluating and developing displays (promotional, seasonal, super structures, sale merchandise), completing resets and revisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts, including basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
  • Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
  • Set basic department prices and make daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed to support accurate pricing of products, and complete any additional pricing tasks related to local regulations.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments as necessary or requested.
  • Maintain clean, neat, orderly store condition; request store or system repairs as required in manager absence or as requested by manager.
  • Separate food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and place products as specified by policies; assist in stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out methods and restock outs.
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
  • Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol and tobacco).
  • Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • Attend training and complete required PPLs requested by Manager.
  • Act as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Employment consideration for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
