The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce through expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. We launched in 2020 and have since then built world‑class operations to delight our customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace. The Retail Strategy & Operations team has expanded into industries like pets, beauty, flowers, office supplies, home improvement, apparel and so much more.

As we continue to scale our Retail business, we’re looking to hire a few Associates onto our Retail Strategy & Operations to support key strategic initiatives including merchandising & selection. You’ll expand our retail offering via selection expansion and make it seamlessly shoppable for customers. You’ll own our end‑to‑end merchandising lifecycle from trend identification through on‑platform placement. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Shopex, Growth, and Analytics to test, measure, and scale retail initiatives that increase traffic and GOV.

You’ll be an individual contributor. We operate in a hybrid and spend a few days a month in person together! Since we are hiring a few retail team members, you will be considered for multiple roles at once throughout the interview process. • Strategize. From first principles, by mapping selection whitespace by retailer type, geo, and category to unlock product availability for our customers.
• Operate. Stand up 0→1 pilots, build dashboards, manage week‑over‑week KPIs and turn wins into scalable processes.
• Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate expansion opportunities and prioritize the next bets.
• Build. Translate sales‑cycles and GTM needs into requirements and co‑lead product feature development.
• Lead, collaborate and influence. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams and external vendors to unlock partnerships, growth and quality to scale retail presence across the country.

• You have 1‑3+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in similar cultures that are highly analytical and cross‑functional (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
• You are an owner. You're always looking for opportunities to better your work and own the outcome and scale learnings through playbooks and SOPs.
• You're entrepreneurial. You have a bias for action and are able to build things from the ground up.
• You're analytical. You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and building models in Excel.
• You're adaptable. You are constantly chasing new tools and ways to become more efficient and know where, when and how to use AI.
• You're equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long‑term and inspiring a team.
• You're unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments where you can be creative and scrappy.
• You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, etc.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.
