Overview

Target General Merchandise Inbound Expert roles support operations, process, and efficiency to enable a consistent guest experience. The team ensures product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and properly signed on the sales floor. It leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing for all General Merchandise areas of the store. The team also leads Food & Beverage and Food Service to provide a fresh and food-safe experience and enables efficient delivery to guests through pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive Up (DU) while maintaining compliance with laws, including adult beverage regulations.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and engage with guests to assist with needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Work independently and with a team; resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Climb ladders and handle cash register operations as needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
• Must be able to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
