Operations Associate (Full-Time) - Michigan Ave

Join ALO as an Operations Associate. This role is critical to the store team and focuses on driving profitability and efficiency.

The Operations Associate works closely with the Operations & Visual Management team, initiating, completing work, and providing feedback to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations.

• Execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink.
• Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General/Store Manager to elevate process or system gaps.
• Support execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra‑day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates and supply management.
• Maintain and champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
• Work closely with reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
• Support a safe, efficient work environment through strong stockroom standards and processes.
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests.
• Execute company‑level operations‑focused directives, projects and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Management team.
• Assist in processing shipment and ensuring product flow, including visual merchandising placement and daily replenishment excellence.
• Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business‑driving strategies.
• Resolve client needs quickly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Identify product concerns and communicate inventory needs to support the business goals.
• Perform duties that require constant movement throughout the store, maintaining a clean, safe and inviting environment.

• 1+ years of client‑centric sales and operational experience.
• Ability to work in all store areas with multiple days of open availability.
• Capacity to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist and safely climb ladders.
• Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
• Passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences.
• Self‑motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as a team.
• Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles.

Full‑time, non‑exempt associate. Expected to work 32–40 hours per week, 7 days a week, and cover blackout periods from Thanksgiving through the first week of January.

Associate base pay range: $17.00–$19.00 per hour in Chicago, IL. Associates are eligible to participate in the monthly store incentive bonus program, which may increase total compensation.
