Planet Access Sales Associate:
Part-Time
Location: Planet Access Store, Lincoln Square, Chicago, IL
Pay: $17.50 per hour

About the Job:
We’re looking for a part-time Sales Associate to join our team! This role is 22 hours per week and includes evenings and weekends. Weekday availability is encouraged. You’ll also be needed the weeks before and after Christmas and the days before and after Thanksgiving.

At Planet Access, you’ll support a meaningful mission, empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while working in a lively boutique store environment.

• Help customers and provide excellent service.
• Be part of a friendly, supportive team in a community-focused store.
• Maintain beautiful product displays and help meet sales goals.

• Assist customers and drive sales.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash/credit transactions.
• Keep displays organized and process new merchandise.
• Ensure the store stays clean and welcoming.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 44 lbs.
• Comfortable kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, and twisting.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.

• Achieve sales goals while ensuring customers have a great experience.
• Welcome and assist customers, handling questions and concerns professionally.
• Maintain a positive and respectful shopping and work environment.
• Operate the POS system and accurately process purchases.
• Stay updated on products and store operations.
• Keep merchandise neat and organized.
• Process shipments and manage inventory accurately.
• Participate in inventory counts and follow store procedures.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store.
• Follow established cleaning routines and use proper materials.
• Respect store materials, fixtures, and displays.

• Support Search Inc.’s mission and values.
• Represent the organization professionally to customers and stakeholders.
• Follow personnel policies and store procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
