The beautiful Hilton Chicago, in the heart of the windy city, is looking for their next Cook 1 to join their talented team!

Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Open availability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The ideal candidate is a motivated culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment. They will demonstrate strong foundational cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to execute recipes and plating standards consistently. Previous banquet experience is preferred, and a positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and commitment to food safety and quality are essential for success in this role.
Whatwill I be doing?
As a Cook 1, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Execute high-volume food production for banquets, conferences, and special events, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with daily prep, station setup, and breakdown for both banquet and restaurant operations
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
- Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
