Position Summary

The Visiting Research Associate II for the 988/Crisis Hub will provide administrative coordination and support for research, communication, and policy and community engagement at local levels throughout the state for the successful implementation of Illinois' 988. The role will be collaboratively part of the project team for the 988 implementation and associated initiatives, including 590, 400, CESSA, and others. The project team activities will involve shared contributions for project management, information management, relationship management and communications, training, reporting, and quality improvement, ensuring that team activities are seamless, individualized, and appropriate for each of the communities across the state.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform surveys, interviews, observations, or other methods according to established research protocols.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for the administration of online surveys and assessments to a statewide audience, coordinating communications, collection, and storage of survey results.
  • Support analysis plans, report‑writing, and dissemination of results; prepare reports including visual and narrative summaries of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the execution of tasks, including but not limited to improving administrative and operational systems and platforms related to the program.
  • May assist with study protocol development.
  • Coordinate the ordering, inventory, and maintenance of equipment, instruments, and data collection and analysis tools.
  • Prepare and contribute statistical data and pertinent information for papers, grants, and other documents.
  • Complete required documentation for regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Convening and Committee Participation
  • Coordinate and support the work of program activities such as online meetings, webinars, conference calls, and in‑person engagement events to accomplish project goals. This includes scheduling meetings, organizing and managing logistics, communicating with participants, producing pre‑meeting agendas and related materials, and documenting meeting content such as meeting minutes, results, and action steps.
  • Maintain current program records and files through multiple project‑specific databases and project management systems.
