Research Analyst

As a member of the research team, the Research Analyst will support research programs and deliverables on topics such as AI, robotics, reality capture, field technologies, equipment, and project management. Key responsibilities include collecting, organizing, and visualizing data, identifying key trends, and developing written reports based on data insights. This individual will also support Built Worlds’ industry benchmarking through customized data analysis for member organizations and assist in planning and executing working group sessions, both virtual and in person, where Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry professionals collaborate and share innovations.

• Develop, manage, and maintain surveys across a range of construction technology research areas.
• Identify emerging topics, gaps, and opportunities within the industry to guide research focus.
• Contribute to the development and publication of written research reports.
• Produce biweekly analyst briefings for members and the broader industry.
• Produce weekly startup profiles, highlighting key figures about emerging AEC startups for venture investors.
• Collaborate with technology companies to gather data on product functionality and performance for inclusion in research outputs.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Built Worlds member organizations to inform research initiatives and foster deeper engagement.
• Support account management activities related to research by building and maintaining relationships with member companies, proactively collecting relevant information, and ensuring participation in Built Worlds programs and publications.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience in research, data analysis, consulting, or project/program management
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality
• Proficiency in analyzing large data sets using Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be willing to engage in public speaking.
• Experience creating and delivering briefing‑style presentations in business settings
• Proactive self‑starter and collaborative team player, effective in fast‑paced, dynamic environments
• Passionate about innovation and next‑generation technologies
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new industries and subject matter

• Knowledge of or experience in buildings or infrastructure sectors
• Experience with Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, or other survey platforms
• Experience working with CRM systems such as Hub Spot
• Experience working with Word Press
• Experience creating business‑oriented briefings or reports.
• Experience working in digital‑first and/or startup companies.
