Job SummaryAddictive, Compulsive, and Impulsive Disorders Lab is recruiting for a Research Assistant which includes subject interviews for treatment, imaging, and observational studies; working with large datasets for data entry and analysis; running MRI scans; coordinating with study sponsors; writing and/or editing manuscripts and presenting research. Works alongside another coordinator to help manage the day-to-day processes of the lab. Under limited direction, but can work as a team.
Collects, records and analyzes data. Conducts literature reviews. Participates in writing reports and manuscripts. Oversees management of several studies. Ensures compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies. Works directly with research subjects on a daily or weekly basis. Able to attend conferences to present individual research.
- Subject interviews for treatment, imaging, and observational studies.
- Working with large datasets for data entry and analysis.
- Running MRI scans.
- Coordinating with study sponsors.
- Writing and/or editing manuscripts and presenting research.
- Provides technical and administrative support for a research project.
- Collects and enters data. Assists in analyzing data. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- May assist recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support. Is developing skills in research techniques or methods, regulatory policies and procedures, and relevant scientific field.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum qualifications include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
Work ExperienceMinimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience in clinical research and work in mental health.
- Experience with human subjects behavioral testing.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Highly organized.
- Warm and professional interpersonal style.
- Motivated to learn challenging new skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to adapt and adjust to changing work situations and assignments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and function both as a team member and be involved in program problem solving.
