Overview
Join the Adli Lab at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine and Robert Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the nation's leading academic medical institutions, dedicated to improving our understanding of genetic and epigenetic mechanisms contributing to human disease.
Scientists in the Adli Lab work at the intersection of cutting-edge functional genomics and bioinformatics to understand genome regulation in health and disease. We use diverse genomics data to generate new knowledge of genome function in cancer and other developmental diseases. We are hiring motivated experimental biologists with deep expertise in functional genomic tools to join our team as Postdoctoral Scholars or Research scientists.
The candidates will work on NIH-funded research projects, including generating and applying next-generation degron technologies for genome regulation (Morphic consortium project) or aberrant genome regulation in chemo resistance in cancer and other tumors. Our work is highly interdisciplinary, spanning statistical genetics, genomics, epigenomics, bioinformatics, data integration, and visualization. Our funded projects utilize various functional genomic tools (CRISPR manipulation, RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, single-cell multi-omics).
- Perform wet lab experimental molecular biology and functional genomics investigations.
- Work on NIH-funded projects, including generation and application of degron technologies for genome regulation.
- Utilize and optimize techniques such as CRISPR manipulation, RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, and single-cell multi-omics.
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians to design experiments and test hypotheses computationally.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary research bridging biology, genomics, and computational analysis.
- PhD or graduate degree in a relevant discipline, preferably within 3 years of PhD.
- Experience with a wide array of molecular biology and functional genomics tools.
- First-author publication in high-impact journals.
- Desire and ability to learn quickly, think creatively, and design new analytic approaches.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
