Our client, an industry leader in construction materials testing, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting quality assurance and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay Range: $23
Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Prepare materials, equipment, and tools needed for mixing and testing.
- Maintain testing equipment and verify calibration.
- Document test results in logs or digital systems.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Assist with sample collection, labeling, and storage.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a laboratory, industrial, construction, or hands-on technical environment.
- Experience using computers and spreadsheet software (Microsoft 365).
- Preferred:
Associate degree or coursework in materials science, construction technology, engineering technology, or similar. - Preferred: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification.
