We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee and lead the quality function across two manufacturing sites. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Quality and is responsible for managing a small team of quality engineers and technicians.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, demonstrated leadership experience, and a proven ability to develop talent within the quality organization. The Quality Manager will drive the effective implementation of the quality system, ensure compliance with automotive standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians, fostering career growth and skill development.
- Oversee and maintain the quality management system in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Manage the corrective action process, ensuring timely documentation, resolution, and follow-up
- Conduct internal audits and management review meetings, providing actionable insights and data.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to implement and improve quality processes, job instructions, and control plans.
- Perform floor audits, gage assessments, and calibration oversight to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor, track, and present quality metrics to leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; or equivalent experience with 10+ years of automotive quality experience.
- Proven experience in the automotive industry with hands-on knowledge of PPAP, FMEAs, control plans, and corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Previous management experience with direct reports, including mentoring and developing quality team members.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) and quality data tracking systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and solve complex quality issues.
