** Hourly Pay Range:**$17.00 - $25.50 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Pool Attendant

* Location:

Chicago, IL
* Part time, 22 weekly hours

* Hours:

Tuesdays 1pm-8:30pm, Thursdays 2:30-8:30pm, Saturdays 8am-4:30pm

** A brief summary:
*** Attend to the pool areas to maintain a safe and welcoming environment while assisting and engaging with members and guests.
*
* What you will do:

*** Maintain constant awareness of the pool and deck area at all times. Engage proactively with members and guests to ensure proper use of the pool and equipment.
* Enforce pool rules in a professional and respectful manner. Respond to unsafe behavior or emergencies as needed.
* Set up and take down equipment for pool programs and classes, ensuring swim lessons, water aerobics, and other activities are properly equipped and supported.
* Monitor pool conditions by taking chemical and temperature readings and reporting maintenance concerns to the appropriate staff.
* Ensure the pool area remains clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

* What you will need:

*** High school diploma or equivalent
* Heart saver CPR/AED certification from AHA or higher certification.
* Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar field is preferred.
* Must be able to swim and tread water.
* Must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to give clear direction, offer assistance, and interact in a friendly, helpful manner with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
* Must be comfortable performing physical duties such as moving lane lines and working in a warm, humid aquatic environment.
