SummaryLovingly care for the needs of each canine guest. The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties to ensure our guests are Safe, Happy, & Healthy.
Responsibilities and Duties Dog Handling- Walk dogs on leash to and from outside exercise areas.
- Engage pets in play activities including exercise walks, fetch, etc.
- Independently supervise group play sessions with at least 18 pre-screened dogs of any size as needed.
- Immediately report health, behavior or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Distribute treats and/or food as instructed by Supervisors and Managers.
- Provide clean, full water bowls to all pets at all times.
- Discard pet stools and record each pet’s elimination habits.
- Clean and sanitize all pet enclosures, exercise yards, and common areas.
- Clean, sanitize and rinse all food and water bowls.
- Mix and use disinfectants and other chemicals safely as instructed by supervisor.
- Operate washer and dryer to clean pet belongings, towels, etc.
- Assist with unloading and storing pet food and supplies.
- Empty and sanitize trash cans and receptacles.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the property by picking up and disposing of trash or debris.
- Keep aisles, drains, carts, shelves, sinks, floors, furniture, counters, and glass clean, sanitary and free of clutter/debris.
- Provide quality baths and ensure workspace is clean after service is complete as needed.
- Follow all company procedures.
- Ensure daily tasks are completed on schedule and accurately.
- Assist with other facility maintenance tasks and repairs as requested.

- Six months to one year of experience caring for pets (either work experience or personal pet experience) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a professional pet environment preferred (e.g., shelter, rescue organization, kennel, vet office).
- No experience required – we can train you!
- Basic, able to use operations and HR software proficiently.
- Position is both indoors and outside. Majority of time is spent standing, walking and bending.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to physically manage and handle large dogs.
- Bend and lift several times per day.
- Walk regularly throughout the day.
- Work around pet hair and dander.
- Work all holidays and weekends year-round.
