Description:
Position available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.
Candidate will work three 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.
No block scheduling is available.
Every other weekend work is required, totaling two weekends per month.
Requests for time off are limited to five days, with a maximum of two consecutive days.
No time off is allowed on holidays or on the day before or after a holiday.
Clinicians will be required to float within their scope of practice as necessary.
Mandatory floating may occur within the facility's discretion.
The facility has a high volume of births per month, ranging from 200 to 300.
Responsibilities include handling high-risk antepartum patients and triaging obstetrical patients.
Must be proficient in placing and calibrating intrauterine pressure catheters.
Candidate should be able to maintain central lines and manage medications such as antihypertensives, insulin, and magnesium sulfate therapy.
Assistance with high-risk deliveries and circulation during C-sections is expected.
Experience in recovery of C-sections and performing sterile vaginal exams is also required.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and infection control protocols is necessary.
All applicants must exhibit the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
