ALIYA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dependable Infection Preventionist (IP) Nurse / Unit Manager to join our team and provide essential clinical leadership and infection control oversight within the facility. The Infection Preventionist (IP) Nurse / Unit Manager plays a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and dignity of our residents, while supervising nursing staff and maintaining regulatory compliance in a supportive environment.

• Oversee and manage the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program in accordance with federal, state, and facility guidelines
• Conduct infection surveillance, tracking, trending, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and local health department regulations
• Educate staff on infection prevention protocols, hand hygiene, and PPE usage
• Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
• Monitor isolation precautions and ensure proper implementation
• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff on the assigned unit
• Assist with scheduling, staffing coordination, and daily clinical operations
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate care plan implementation
• Support staff development, evaluation, and corrective action when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory readiness
• Report changes in infection trends or resident conditions to facility leadership
• Uphold resident privacy and dignity in accordance with HIPAA and facility standards
• Comply with all federal, state, and facility regulations and guidelines
• Stay current through educational opportunities and maintaining nursing licensure
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in accordance with state law
• Infection prevention experience preferred
• Long term care experience required
• Supervisory or unit management experience preferred
• Knowledge of CDC and CMS infection control guidelines
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to lead a team and respond effectively in urgent or outbreak situations
