Registered Nurse Ambulatory – Dermatology (Full Time Days)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in our ambulatory dermatology clinic. This full‑time position is Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week, located at 1460 N. Halsted, Chicago (Lincoln Park). Salary: $34.50–$55.20 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities- Direct and monitor patient care provided by support personnel; identify changes in patient physiological condition.
- Communicate patient status to multidisciplinary team members.
- Communicate directly with patients and families about nursing care.
- Provide clinical interventions to meet patient needs.
- Document the nursing process.
- Assimilate information from multiple sources and implement appropriate action plans to provide safe, quality care.
- Ensure safety and security of patients, significant others, and staff.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and provide direct patient care.
- Direct care provided by support personnel for a special shift.
- Perform ongoing assessment of assigned patients and their significant others’ biopsychosocial and learning needs.
- Contribute to plan of care in coordination with patient care coordinator as appropriate.
- Implement appropriate actions to respond to patient needs and significant others.
- Monitor and document patient response to therapeutic interventions and progress toward outcomes.
- Use cost‑effective approach to patient care in terms of equipment, supplies and other resources.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Exemplify a professional image in appearance, manner, and presentation.
- Advocate for patients and significant others, co‑workers, community, and nursing profession.
- Demonstrate accountability and compassion to internal and external customers.
- Champion collaborative practice with co‑workers and other disciplines.
- Represent nursing profession in internal and external forums.
- Integrate theoretical knowledge base and clinical expertise in decision making.
- Assume responsibility for mandatory requirements and personal development plan related to clinical specialty.
- Follow research protocols for assigned patients.

- Required:
- Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse or eligible in the State of Illinois
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Certification of BLS CPR.
- Preferred:
- One year of experience.
