Overview
UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Outpatient Oncology for Madison, Wisconsin.
Work Schedule100%, day shift at University Hospital and Eastpark Medical Center.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to cancer patients in active treatment or active surveillance in a primarily outpatient setting.
- Provide follow‑up and urgent appointments at University Hospital and Eastpark Medical Center.
- Perform routine clinical activities independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to, clearance assessment for cancer treatment; symptom assessment, evaluation, and management; assessing cancer patients on clinical trials; and obtaining chemotherapy signing privileges.

- Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program.
- Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in Wisconsin; active board certification as an NP in Adult;
Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, Adult/Gerontology Acute Care. - Physician Assistant: Active PA license in Wisconsin; active PA board certification.
- All applicants must have an active DEA license or be able to obtain one prior to or upon hire, plus CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
