Short Summary
:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN role provides care and support to patients in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs, emergency response, and management of life support system maintenance.

Full-Time 12-hour shifts (7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am rotating shifts). Shift differentials apply.

• Demonstrates commitment to principles of the patient care model and the organization s nursing vision and strategy.
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to coordinate outcome-focused patient care.
• Understands and incorporates holistic nursing theory.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Assesses and documents healthcare process stakeholder learning needs.
• Participates in the creation and operationalization of quality improvements to promote clinical quality, customer experience, nursing engagement, and care outcomes.
• Complies with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, board of nursing requirements, patient safety, infection control, and other standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Coordinates the interdependent team while promoting collaborative teamwork and cooperation.
• Contributes to the development and achievement of department goals.
• Undertakes other responsibilities as needed/assigned.

• ADN, BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program is preferred.
• Valid RN license (active required).
• BLS CPR certification required (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted).
• ACLS from American Heart Association.
• ICU work experience is an added advantage.
• 2+ years of nursing experience (ICU or PACU preferred).
• Ability to work variable hours.
