Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring an active IL license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in various ICU settings including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU within a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Mandatory float policy requires RNs to float between ICU units and, if needed, to MS units within the facility and potentially up to 50 miles at the employer's discretion
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend work required every other weekend (two weekends per month)
- First week includes day shift orientation and precepting
- Uses Cerner EMR; experience preferred
- RTO limited to 5 days max, no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO approved for holidays, the day before or after a holiday, or on weekends
- Strict compliance with floating policy; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
- Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Navy blue scrubs required and not provided by the facility
- Team-based model utilized if floated outside primary competency area
- No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
- Active IL RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility
- COVID vaccine required for consideration
