Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring an active IL license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

• Work in various ICU settings including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Mandatory float policy requires RNs to float between ICU units and, if needed, to MS units within the facility and potentially up to 50 miles at the employer's discretion
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend work required every other weekend (two weekends per month)
• First week includes day shift orientation and precepting
• Uses Cerner EMR; experience preferred
• RTO limited to 5 days max, no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO approved for holidays, the day before or after a holiday, or on weekends
• Strict compliance with floating policy; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Navy blue scrubs required and not provided by the facility
• Team-based model utilized if floated outside primary competency area
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed

• Active IL RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility
• COVID vaccine required for consideration
