Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center night shift position requiring IL RN license and critical care certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in various ICU units within a hospital setting, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU
- Position includes mandatory floating within all ICU units and may float to MS units as needed
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00pm to 7:30am, with every other weekend required
- Cerner EMR system is used
- Initial orientation and precepting week will be on day shift
- ICU RNs expected to float to units outside primary specialty, utilizing a team-based care model as necessary
- Strict adherence to compliance requirements, including meeting documentation and lab deadlines before orientation
- Navy blue scrubs are required and are not provided
- No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be approved
- Time off is limited to 5 days per contract with no more than 2 consecutive days and no time off approved for weekends or holidays, including the day before or after holidays
- Returning nurses must complete full recredentialing and orientation for each new contract, regardless of contract break duration
- Active IL RN license required prior to consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required
- Proof of COVID vaccination is required
- Lab work must be completed within 72 hours after accepting assignment
- Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius to be considered for a local rate
- Pending licenses are not accepted
