Clinical Research Nurse

* Works with participants across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
* Provides direct patient care:
Performs nursing assessments, conducts protocol specified procedures, administers study medications, and monitors patient safety during visits.
* Collects and manages data:
Records clinical data, maintains case report forms, and supports data integrity for audits and monitoring visits.
* Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, coordinators, lab staff to support study progress.
* Educates participants and families:
Explains study procedures and provide ongoing support across study timeline.
* Adheres to ICH-GCP guidelines, professional nursing practice standards, patient-centered care principles and evidence based best practices in all interactions with research participants.
* Reports adverse drug reactions and other safety concerns to the Principal Investigator and study team.
* Has a solid understanding of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
* Applies logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
* Interprets information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities.
* Has a solid understanding of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
* Performs other related work as needed.

* Education:

*** Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
*
* Experience:

*** Two years of experience as a nurse in clinical research coordination/management.
** Preferred Competencies
*** Fundamental working knowledge of clinical research.
* Knowledge of patient care fundamentals, including aseptic principles and techniques.
* Ability to provide direct patient care in a professional and respectful manner.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Ability to read documents or instruments.
* Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks with occasional interruptions.
* Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive situations.
* Ability to solve problems by applying math or reasoning principles.
* Ability to adapt to changing working situations and work assignments.
* Strong phlebotomy and venous access (IV) skills.
