Nurse Clinician-Neurology Full Time Days

The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity.

The Nurse Clinician will work in a multidisciplinary environment which will require exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, clinical and administrative units. This position will utilize nursing skills to perform patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Provide pre-attending care for patients. For each patient, perform a comprehensive assessment of the chief complaint and patient needs utilizing the nursing process.
  • Perform routine nursing duties and demonstrate clinical competency.
  • Interpret and define abnormalities detected in tests and procedures, then take appropriate remedial action.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments.
  • Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills and service standards.
  • Manage urgent/emergent medical situations as appropriate and in accordance with the organization’s protocols for medical emergencies and cardiac arrests.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and physicians for daily problem solving and decision-making.
  • Comply with all existing policies and procedures related to patient care.
  • Initiate and coordinate patient education.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment
  • Certification in Basic CPR
  • 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (may be required for certain positions)
