Responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic nurse leader for this exciting role to oversee Infection Prevention, Employee Health and Staff Development.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in conjunction with the Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement, implements, coordinates, and monitors the hospital wide infection control program. Under the direction of the Group HR Director - plans, develops, and implements orientation programs for new employees. Plans, develops, implements, and monitors hospital-wide in-service/staff development programs. Maintains and monitors accurate, up to date, education files on all hospital employees with HR assistance.
Assists Human Reources in maintaining staff development related policies and procedures manuals. Develops mechanisms to motivate/foster employee attendance at hospital wide and department specific in-service/staff development programs. Assists Partial Hospitalization Program as necessary. Works as an RN or House Supervisor as needed. Keeps abreast of new developments in education.

Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. The RN must demonstrate knowledge and skills in provision of services to varied populations including children, adolescent, preadolescents and adult patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting and educate staff as nedded.
Education: Graduate of a nursing program required; MSN preferred.
Experience: Prefers 5 years clinical experience with a psych mental health population, 3 years previous clinical supervisory experience in an inpatient psych setting and administrative/management experience.
Licensure/Certification: Illinois RN license required. CPI and CPR certifications required and must remain current throughout employment.
Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing principles, working concepts and theory, leadership skills, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
