Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position with mandatory floating and a night shift schedule at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Illinois.
Responsibilities- Work in various ICU units, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU
- Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed to support staffing
- Level 1 Trauma Center setting
- Night shifts consisting of 3x12s from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Every other weekend required, with two weekends per month
- No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
- Mandatory floating within any ICU unit and to other units within a 50-mile radius if required
- Cerner charting system is used
- Must be able to float to any Cook facility with notification given up to 2 hours before the shift
- Orientation and precepting occur on the day shift during the first week
- Strict compliance policy, including timely completion of lab work after offer acceptance
- Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided
- No more than 5 days of requested time off, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no RTO on weekends, holidays, or days adjacent to holidays
- Team-based model in place if floated outside of primary unit specialty
- Active IL RN license is required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care ICU experience
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required
- Proof of COVID vaccine is required
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility
- No pending licensure accepted
