Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current IL license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS for a Level 1 Trauma Center with mandatory floating requirements.
Responsibilities- Work in multiple ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU within a hospital setting
- Will also float to medical-surgical units as needed based on staffing
- Day shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm
- Required to work every other weekend, totaling 2 weekends per month
- No block scheduling or special schedule requests allowed
- Mandatory floating up to 50 miles, including to facilities outside of primary competency
- Uses Cerner EMR; experience preferred
- First week includes day shift orientation and precepting
- Must be willing to float to any ICU and other nursing units as determined by facility needs
- Team-based model utilized when floated to units outside primary competency
- Navy blue scrubs required, not provided by facility
- Strict RTO (Requested Time Off) policy: maximum of 5 days off, no more than 2 consecutive days, no weekend or holiday time off
- Compliance requirements include prompt completion of lab work and documentation within deadlines
- Holiday coverage required with no RTO allowed on holidays or adjacent days
- Locals accepted, but local pay rates will apply
- Active IL RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU acute care experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Must provide proof of COVID vaccine prior to start date
- Must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be considered
- Pending licenses are not accepted
