School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Chicago, Illinois

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with certification as a School Nurse (CSN) to support the health and well-being of students within an elementary school setting in Chicago, IL. This contract position extends for the current school year (CSY), offering a dynamic environment to apply nursing skills focused on pediatric care and school health services.

• Provide comprehensive health assessments and first aid to students
• Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and school policy
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to promote a healthy learning environment
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state regulations
• Educate students and staff on health-related issues and preventive care

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• Certification as a School Nurse (CSN) preferred or equivalent school nursing experience
• Experience working in pediatric or school health settings highly desirable
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies
