Job Description
As a Nurse at Lurie Children’s, you will be at the heart of our pediatric care team, making a difference each day by supporting other nursing staff in compassionate and top-quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications- BSN, RN or higher. ASN permitted if willing to return to school for BSN within 2 years of hire.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois, active and in good standing.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical nursing.
- 1 year pediatric experience, plus 1 year inpatient acute care/hospital setting experience strongly preferred.
- Charge or preceptor experience is a plus.
- Full Time – Night Shift: 7 p‑7 a, 12‑hour shifts and every other weekend.
- 8‑10 weeks (first week is hospital orientation)
- Orientation will be on all shifts, beginning on day shifts
- Hands‑on experiences within orientation hours
- Mandatory classes include PALS, ACLS, PPE training
