Registered Nurse Neurosurgery – Full Time Days
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to support our neurosurgery program during day shifts. The role requires exceptional clinical skills, strong judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment; ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document findings, and collaborate with physicians and other health‑care providers.
- Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, take vital signs, and prepare lab specimens.
- Provide nursing intervention for complex procedures such as conscious sedation, chemotherapy administration, and implantable pain pump management.
- Interpret abnormal test results and implement remedial action; document all interventions clearly and legibly.
- Communicate and collaborate with other clinical and administrative departments to coordinate patient care.
- Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills and service standards.
- Manage urgent/emergent medical situations and operate emergency equipment according to organization protocols.
- Serve as a resource for staff and physicians for daily problem solving and decision making; delegate tasks according to Illinois law and organizational protocols.
- Initiate and coordinate patient education; ensure patients understand educational materials and can demonstrate return demonstration when pertinent.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment
- Certification in Basic CPR
- 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (may be required for certain positions)
