  • Educational Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive log of all internal and external trainings provided to staff and volunteers, ensuring all certifications and refreshers are current.
  • Professional Development: Partner with the President to identify and secure in-person training opportunities (CEU is a plus) or external partnerships that enhance our team’s skills.
  • Strategic

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with the President and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure our service delivery remains trauma-informed and ethical.
  • Community Advocacy: Act as a guardian for the well‑being of our volunteers and the individuals we serve, ensuring every person is supported and "taken care of" according to professional social work standards.
Professional Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree:
    Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Arts in Counseling, or a related Graduate degree in a human services field.
  • Licensure Preferred:
    Current LSW, LCSW, or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in good standing.
  • Clinical or Macro

    Experience:

    At least 3–5 years of experience in program coordination, clinical supervision, or organizational ethics.

  • Trauma‑Informed Lens: A deep understanding of trauma‑informed care and how to apply it to both staff wellness and client services.
  • Collaboration

    Skills:

    The ability to work seamlessly alongside the President and Volunteer Coordinator to align organizational goals with ethical standards.
  • Resourcefulness: A knack for finding and securing training partnerships, whether through local universities, nonprofit networks, or professional associations.
  • Lived

    Experience:

    A deep, firsthand understanding of the immigrant and first‑generation experience to ensure our ethics remain culturally humble and relevant.
